VP of Mergers & Acquisitions/Strategic Initiatives

SCOPE:

The VP of Mergers & Acquisitions/Strategic Initiatives will advise the leadership team on strategic business development and corporate planning issues and make recommendations on major business decisions in new and on-going business development efforts

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong business acumen.
• Highly developed understanding of key metrics, business drivers and functional roles
• Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to directors, managers, and employees to ensure the continued development and management of an efficient organization; establish effective decision making processes that achieve goals and objectives.
• Leads project teams, working cross functionally, thinking both critically and strategically.
• In collaboration with leadership spearheads and manages new strategic exploration that goes beyond current areas of focus.
• Coordinate with HR, IT, legal and other functional departments to ensure a successful closing and initial transition for newly acquired employees
• Prepare and maintain daily call and activity tracking systems
• Prepare periodic status reports for CEO, President, and Board
• Organize and conduct initial due diligence on potential acquisition targets
